About us

BestSaller is a family-owned company based in Waldachtal in the Black Forest region of Germany. Since our foundation in 1987, we have stood for toys with character, experience and a close connection to the product. Alongside our own product development and the continuous expansion of our range, one thing is especially important to us: long-term cooperation with other family-owned companies in Germany and abroad, often over many years and even across generations.

Our history

For many years, BestSaller has stood for toys that inspire imagination and invite children to immerse themselves in exciting worlds of role play. With experience, care and personal commitment, we develop, design and select our range with a strong focus on the product itself.

The company was founded in Munich in 1987 by Georg Saller under the name sbv VerlagsService. At first, the focus was on the production and distribution of games. In 1988, the company exhibited for the first time at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg. From 1989 onward, the title "Das Liebesspiel" became a major success.

In 1992, the company moved its headquarters to Waldachtal. During this period, the focus shifted increasingly toward wooden toys. Starting with wooden doll furniture, the range gradually expanded to include a wide variety of role-play toys made of wood and textile. This development led to the creation of the BestSaller brand.

Over the years, the range has been continuously expanded. From 2005 onward, products made of EVA foam were added. The experience gained from this later flowed into the development of our own products. In 2016, BestSaller also acquired the rights to the SUPER SIX product line.

A new chapter in the company’s history began in 2021. After the death of founder Georg Saller, his eldest son Peter Saller took over the management of the company. Since then, BestSaller has continued in the family tradition while being further developed with new ideas and in-house product innovations.

In recent years, the range has been further developed in several areas. In 2022, the wooden range was expanded to include new swords and sword sets with wooden scabbards. In 2023, the company began its own production of plastic helmets. In 2024, all self-manufactured wooden bows and crossbows were fundamentally revised. In 2025, new bows made of beech wood were introduced.

An important part of our company philosophy is long-term cooperation with other family-owned businesses in Germany and abroad. Over many years, this has resulted in close and reliable partnerships, in some cases even across generations. These long-standing relationships continue to shape BestSaller to this day and stand for trust, continuity and shared responsibility.

Today, BestSaller stands for a family business that combines tradition and further development.
